Say Hello to K-102
CLEAR CHANNEL - After three days of stunting, KKAT was flipped to "K102 - 12-In-a-Row Country." In other words, KKAT was desperate, and pulled the stunt to attract, some attention. Personally, I don't think K-102 is going to fly real well. The sad news is that Salt Lake just can't really support three country stations (four if you count the Classic Country 700) and still have all three pull off decent numbers. This looks similar to what WNSR did in New York back in '98. The station couldn't pull great numbers, so it just changed it's name, and tweaked itself a bit to be BIG 105 WBIX. That didn't last more than ten months. I believe history may repeat itself.
