Simmons Changing Stations?

SIMMONS - With 101.5 KPKK coming this spring, many rumors speculate the format of the new station out of Oakley, UT. Two separate tipsters to Utah Radio Guide have suggested that the new KPKK will likely be Hot AC. If this rumor is true, it might explain the mysterious changes at Star 102.7 (KQMB). Likely KQMB will become a "Star" CHR, leaning more rhythmic and alternative to compete against KZHT (949 ZHT) and KUDD (Power 107.9). (This almost could've been foretold, however with such a rhythmic jingle package that they started to use last August.) FM 100 is likely to soften up, just a little bit. This leaves a nice hole for a Hot AC station to fill. Rumors range from a "Mountain 105.7" style to even a "K-BIG 104 Los Angeles" type of station. More than likely though, we must assume, that it will use the moniker, "The Peak."
